This site has been set up to promote the new word "texty". Our aim was to get this word into the Oxford English Dictionary by 2007 but now we are aiming for 2010 maybe with your help, which is no easy task.

Some words have entered the Dictionary within a year due to the pace that their uses have spread. Usually words are entered into the Dictionary if they appear five times or more, in five different printed sources, over a period of five years. With your help we can get this new word into the Dictionary and into the English language.
